Merely Coincidence

Many days pass by and we keep asking ourselves as life hits us with weird coincidences, are they really serendipity and fluke or is it a destiny and fate? On the appearance of Halley’s Comet in 1835, the famous writer and tycoon of literature, Mark Twain was born. Twain said in 1909, “I came in with Halley’s Comet in 1835. It is coming again next year, and I expect to go out with it.” In the year 1910, when the next Halley Comet appeared, Mark Twain died. Is this is a coincidence and just a feeling or was this meant by destiny.  In 1899, a lightning bolt killed a man when he was standing in the backyard of his home in Taranto, Italy and after thirty years later, his was killed in the same way and the same place. On October the 8th, 1941 in Rolla Primarda, the grandson of the first victim and the son of the second became the third victim of the lightning. Anthony S. Clancy of Dublin was born on the seventh day of the seventh month of the seventh year of the century and also the seventh day of the week. He also happens to be the seventh of a seventh child and he has seven brothers. This makes seven sevens!

And of course, last but not the least, let’s not forget the many similarities that Abraham Lincoln and J.F Kennedy of the USA. They both had seven letters in their names, they both suffered genetic diseases, both served in the military, and both were boat captains. How they died? They were both shot in the head on a Friday and both were beside their wives who held the bullet-torn heads of their husbands.

Still think that everything happens as a coincidence? I don’t think so. It is all fate and destiny and nothing just happens for granted.
